Videographer & Editor
Welcome! A little about me - I was born and raised in rural Iowa and graduated college from Iowa State University, studying Urban Planning and Environmental Studies before my work, school, and curiosity would lead me to live in several states including Pennsylvania, Utah, and Illinois. Though I'm currently based in Des Moines, I travel often to Pennsylvania and other states.
In Utah, I attended Salt Lake Community College for a semester and learned how to use a camera. After a semester of schooling, I began a new job as a videographer with the nonprofit Living Lands and Waters. For this job, I lived on a barge and documented the organization's industrial-scale river cleanup operation around the country before fully diving into my freelance journey.
Fueled by a passion for travel and the great outdoors, I'm always on the hunt for my next adventure, seeking out unique narratives to bring to life. Both the outdoors and my family and friendships have built a strong foundation for my life. Filming anything from cycling races to intimate wedding ceremonies brings both personal and professional fulfillment to my life. When I'm not shooting or editing, my thrill-seeking tendencies reveal themselves through mountain and road biking, rock climbing, kayaking, and aggressive inline skating (like... at the skatepark). And when I'm whooped from that - I'll be reading and enjoying time with le petit prince, Nimbus (yes, my cat).
I'm eager to share my skills and knowledge in film and media to creatively share your story. I look forward to collaborating on a dynamic and impactful film with you!
